Movie Screening (Recap)
Last Tuesday, MMUCF had its first meeting in campus for the second trimester. It was held at CLCR 2005. The event for the day was a movie screening: Facing the Giants. The movie revolves around a high school football team, the Shiloh Eagles. Their coach, Grant Taylor, has never had a winning season in six years of his coaching. Even the hope of a new season is squelched when the best player on his team decides to transfer schools. After losing their first three games of the season, the coach discovers a group of fathers are plotting to have him fired. Combined with pressures at home, Coach Taylor has lost hope in his battle against fear and failure.
However, an unexpected challenge helps him find a purpose bigger than just victories.
Daring to trust God to do the impossible, Coach Taylor and the Eagles discover how faith plays out on the field... and off.
Of the many lessons learnt from the movie: with God, nothing is impossible.
So people, remember! With God, nothing is impossible!! When you facing any problems, no matter big or small, pray! Pray to Him and all problems will be solved!! ^^

I Do (Recap)
- Jesus wants us to stick to the truth.
- Promises are meant to be kept.
- A lie is a lie, there is no such thing as a white lie.
- 3 dimensions of integrity.
(i) to God.
(ii) to other people.
- Practice what you believe. If others cannot trust you, what you say about God cannot be trusted as well.
- A stumbling stone to unbelievers.
(iii) to ourselves. - Integrity Authenticity:
- Our walk matches with our talk.
- Makes unbelievers believe. - Good intention to share the gospel must match our integrity.
- Integrity challenged:
- Temptation: Do we get more alert? - We lose our integrity when we give into temptation not when we are tempted.
- In Bible, Joseph ran away when temptation came charging.
- We cannot overcome the temptations by resisting only by running away AS FAST AS YOU CAN! - Never make a promise that you cannot keep.
- Without integrity, you can shout the great commission, but no one hears.
- With integrity, a whisper can melt the harden soul for Jesus.
That's all about the sermon.. What is going on next week? Come find out yourself.. See ya!! =p

MMUCF is now an official, registered club in MMU!!
As the subject of the post says...MMUCF is now a registered club of MMU Melaka. The process of registering the CF started at the end of June 2008, and we have received confirmation from the authorities on 23 August 2008. Only one phrase to sum it all, To God Be The Glory.
We are registered as MMUCS (MMU Christian Society), which consists of 3 divisions: ECF(English Christian Society...that's us!), CCF(Chinese Christian Society) and CSF(Catholic Students Society). The governing body of MMUCS will be the Executive Committee (EXCO). A total of 6 members make up the EXCO, 2 from each division. A special meeting will be held on 8th September 2008, 8pm at YAC to further explain the system/structure of the new formed club. So do make it for the meeting for a better view and understanding of MMUCS.
Do uphold the CF in prayer, as we make this transition, as we face the challenges and changes up ahead. Pray for the new formed club too, that all three bodies may be united in the Lord Jesus, and that MMUCS will have the favour of the authorities. Let MMUCS be a vessel for the great works of the Kingdom of God.
To God be the glory, and may we glorify Him.

Jesus' Commission (Recap)
Deu 6:4:
Fundamentals of Chrisitianity
-the Lord is God alone
-we have to love him, fear him, follow his ways, serve him with all our hearts and soul.
That was exactly what Jesus did when he was on earth. Check out the temptation of Jesus. Matt 4:1-10
Jesus was our perfect example of what God wanted man to be here on earth..
So, remember God is always there for us. We got to draw ourselves near to him at all time. Most important things is Jesus' Commission and Fundamental Christianity. ^^

M-Possible...
World Seasoning (Recap)
Who are we?
We are the reflector of the Light to others
-1 Peter 2:9-10
-2 Cor 4:5-7
Fixing our eyes on Jesus should be our true motivation in life
(Hebrew 12:1-2)
What is salt?
(A) Salt is a noticeable flavor changer
Are we, Christian, changing the situation we’re in?
-Roman 10:12-15
-Acts 11:19-23
(B) Salt is used as a preservative
Are we holding together our unity in Christ, not allowing our faith become stale?
(C) Salt water is a conductor
Are we a catalyst of God’s word to be manifested in our life?
Are we allowing God to work through us to make a difference in peoples’ life?
-James 1:21-24
-James 2: 14-17
Sometimes, we can lose our saltiness by:
(A) lack of accountability
(B) loss of motivation (Rev 3:14-16, 1 Cor 12:1-3)
However, God NEVER leaves us nor forsake us.
He is going to use us mightily if we allow Him to.
Some ways to come back to God and gain our saltiness back:
-Confess to God our sins
-Read the Word
-Seek Godly wisdom
-Pray (for the nation and our family and friends)

See you there!! ^^
Purity Insanity (Recap)
Last Tuesday, Bro Joshua Leong from ‘Focus on the Family Malaysia’ came to share with us on living a life of purity. Namely, abstaining from sex before marriage.
He told us that purity is NOT a line, but rather a pursuit to righteousness. Therefore, in our pursuit to righteousness, we not only abstain from having sex before marriage, but rather work towards keeping our mind, body and soul pure for our future husband/wife.
As a responsible and good brother/sister-in-Christ, the guys are to be warriors and men of valour, to guard the girl’s heart and keep it pure; while the girls are to be sincere towards guys, not be flirtatious and to dress modestly.
So guys, are you ready to be warriors and protect your sisters-in-Christ?
And girls, will you be sincere towards your brothers-in-Christ?
If u have any questions and would like to ask Bro. Joshua,
please send an email to joshua@family.org.com
See you next week!! ^^

AHA..
People were divided into a few groups where each group has to go through game stations throughout the hike. Each group also has to carry candles and ping-pong balls. Throughout the games, some items were used to symbolize some meanings:
-The candle symbolizes our relationship with God.
-Each station has a lighter which represents our daily devotion to keep the the fire burning. -The ping-pong balls represent the word of God. Sometimes we tend to forget His word (when the ball is taken away).
-The time spent on top of the hill is to show how sensitive we are to our surroundings. (In our case: our friends)
So, keep the fire burning for Him and may we set other hearts on fire too. :)
By the way, AHA = Anastasia, Hui Juan, and Albert. Lame right?? Sorry for the lameness. Haha.. See you next week! ;p
