Prayer Book

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"
Philippians 4:6-7

Yes, prayer is important. It's a personal and intimate relationship with our loving Heavenly Father. Prayer communication is a two way street. We don’t just bring our cares, worries, frustrations to Him. But He speaks to us, revealing Him self to us through prayer.

well...we have something new this year!

Last week recap : CROSSIMPACT.FM

Pastor David shared with us that as a christian in campus, we have to keep in mind and live it out this 4 Cs - Conviction, Courage, Commitment, Continuity. Lots of us often ask "What is my calling? What God wants me to do this year?". Our calling is to be salt & light in MMU! Many times people are not interested in CF is because they don't know what we stand for.

1. Conviction
-We must have this conviction in our heart knowing that God is the only way to salvation.
-Then, convince others without any doubts.
-Yes, God looks at your heart...but do you act out whole-heartedly?

2. Courage
-Stand up firm and say the truth. When people do or say stuff which is not good, do you have the courage to leave the group?
-It's so sad to see how upside down the value of society has become.
-We're all living testimonies in campus. Do people notice our presence?

3. Commitment
-Once you have the conviction and courage, be committed in what you are doing.
-You will not know when's the time God answers your prayer, when's the time someone will just walk up to you and ask bout your faith.
-Therefore, be patience too.

4. Continuity
-There's no point doing all these just for a short period of time.
-Let's set an example to our next generation.

You cannot run away from the fact that you're a christian.
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
Ephesians 4:1

40-Day Fast and Prayer

The theme for this year's 40-Day Fast and Prayer is 'Uniting The Generations'

In recent times, there has been concern that the younger generation is not rising to the challenge to take over the baton from the existing leadership. There seems to be a "generational divide" that in many ways have weakened the collective leadership of the national church. Each generation cannot fight alone, we need to honour each generation and one another and together make an impact to our society and the nation.

We would like to ask you to join us in this 40-Day Fast and Prayer as we'll come together to pray for our nation. We believe that God will hear our cries and bring a change to our land! Let's not just pray alone, try to think of something to fast for this 40 days as well. Too often, the focus of fasting is on the lack of food. Well, there are actually alot of things which u can fast. For example, computer games and movies. The purpose of fasting should be to take your eyes off the things of this world to focus completely on God. Fasting is a way to demonstrate to God, and to ourselves, that we are serious about our relationship with Him. Fasting helps us gain a new perspective and a renewed reliance upon God.

So, come and pray with us and bring a difference in our nation! =)
