Since the days of the early church, mission works has been going on to spread the good news of Jesus to the ends of the world. Today, these groups are different teams of missionaries going out to different countries to spread the good news of the Lord! But as most missionaries, they don’t just go to a place and start preaching or shouting out the word of God.... No! Every mission needs a strategy! They go there, make an assessment, learn the language, the culture, the people, etc and try to get along with them, gain their trust and friendship. In short, a whole bunch of hard work! Whichever group that succeeds in laying their bases, will be responsible in drawing the community to God.
Last Tuesday, we had campus games. And this was the basis of our game....
The people were divided into eight groups, representing different teams of missionaries going out into the 8 countries of East Asia. We had to race and compete among each other to lay our grounds in those countries. Whoever wins the challenge will be given the country’s information slip and therefore signifying that we have gained a base in that country.
All teams started from the same starting point---Malaysia (location: FOSEE main entrance) and proceeded to all 8 countries. After finishing all 8 countries, we raced back to the CF’s meeting room to choose our mission’s operation base- the country of our choice in which we have gained her information slip. After that, we prayed for our respective country among our group, and ended with a short worship song.
