YAC Farewell (Recap)

We had our last CF meeting in YAC last Tuesday. Yup, our contract for the Youth Alive Centre has come to an end and as the CF has decided to move into campus to focus on the mission field that God has given to us, as of January 1st 2009, YAC is no more!

But not at sight doesn’t mean it will be not at heart. For many of us, YAC has played a major part of our campus life. Even though it is only a building, but as many of the CF-ers who shared in the meeting said, it was where ‘true, long-lasting friendships were built, confidence was gained, skills and talents were developed, and growth in our Christian faith was nurtured.”

Apart from that, Joash said his farewells as he will be graduating after this semester. Besides reminiscing all the wonderful memories and love that he has experienced from his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, he also urged the sisters to be patient and choose a man who is ‘a man and not a boy’, while urging the brothers to ‘rise up and be the man that the sisters are waiting for’.

Pastor Joanne then came to wrap things up and reminded us of God’s hand upon the CF. As the CF move into campus, she urged us all to not forget the 10 years that we have spent off campus, but to treasure the foundation that our seniors have laid for us and to ensure that the CF lives on from generation to generation!

The meeting ended with the CF-ers leaving their mark on the ACT2 banner and taking our last photos of YAC.

Good bye YAC… you will truly be missed!

YAC Farewell

What are we going to do for next CF meeting? We are going to have our very last CF meeting for this sememster, very very last CF meeting for this year and very very very last CF meeting at YAC. Why? Because CF committees decided to stop the contract of renting YAC. In another word, we have to say BYE BYE to YAC since 1st January 2009.

Christmas Party

This coming Tuesday, we will be having a Christmas Party and it will be held in campus, right outside Main Hall!

Gift Making Day (Recap)

What we did last Tuesday? Once again, we're able to have a joint meeting with all three bodies, thank The Lord for that.

This time, we were gathered together to wrap prezzies (candy canes) for MMU students and pratice carols. It is always great to see all three bodies coming together to do something for our campus with no-string attached in His Name. All enjoyed wthis wonderful time together and hope and pray that God will continue to strengten this unity we have in Him.

In this Christmas season, let us share this Salvation that we have to those who do not know Him. God loves everyone and he loves you too.

Gift Making Day (MMUCS)

How was the aCt:TGG last Tuesday??
For those who missed it, fret not! You can purchase the DVD very soon!

Anyway, what's on this coming Tuesday??
We're going to make gifts for the campus community as we are having caroling in campus on 17th and 18th December 2008 (Wednesday and Thursday).
This is not only among the ECF (English CF) members but also consists of CCF (Chinese CF) and CSF (Catholic Students Fellowship) members as well, which will then be a MMUCS activity!

Ways to LOVE your enemies:

1. Pray for them:
- pray the good things
- pray what's the reason they hate you

2. Do good to them:
- do something good but do not expect something in return
- try to defend him
- find ways to help him

3. Forgive:
- love one another
- highest aim to become Christ like

4. Take action
- do not just listen to the words of God, but applied it.
